100% Natural Deodorant

100% Natural Deodorant by Happy Organic Skincare...woohoo

Picture
As a busy teacher, working close to students and other teachers, I need an excellent deodorant. School classrooms can get very hot and one less smelly armpit in the room can only be a good thing! I have tried quite a few natural deodorants, some based on Tea Tree Oil, others based on Manuka Honey...however, I have recently discovered the brand new 100% Natural Deodorant by Happy Skincare. I purchased a trial size and I must say that I am very impressed! I will definitely be ordering more of this fabulous deodorant.

I wore the Woohoo 100% Natural Deodorant to work today and taught six (6) one hour periods back to back, plus I also taught through lunch...and this deodorant certainly worked hard in the hot weather and classroom today! As a teacher I am constantly raising my arm to get the attention of students, writing on the board and working in close proximity to students at their desks. They do not need to be subjected to a smelly teacher whose deodorant does not work! I am extremely pleased with the performance of this product.

At present this is a trial size and is priced accordingly. At $6.60 I think that this is a fabulous price for a natural, non-toxic product without the cancer risks of mainstream deodorant/antiperspirants, that are loaded with aluminium and a plethora of artificial chemicals. I have posted an interesting article for further reading if you are interested in learning more about the possible long-term risks associated with the use of antiperspirant/deodorants.

Be warned, this is not an antiperspirant and will not block your sweat glands with aluminium salts, rather, this product's ingredients helps to keep you dry through absorption and inhibiting the growth of unpleasant bacteria in your armpit. I must say that I stayed dry all day with no unpleasant body odour. This works for me!

Ingredients

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Manihot Esculenta (Tapioca) Root Starch, Sodium Bicarbonate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Kaolin Clay, Isoamyl Laurate, Euphorbia Cerifera Cera (Candelilla) Wax, Triethyl Citrate, Zinc Oxide, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil,  Cedrus Atlantica Wood (Cedarwood Atlas) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Cymbopogon Martini (Palmarosa) Oil, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Oil and Vanilla planifolia (Vanilla) Extract

The problem with aluminium salts
Aluminium chloride, aluminium zirconium, aluminium chlorohydrate and aluminium hydroxybromide are all commonly used in antiperspirants. Aluminium is not normally found in the body so a big red flag is raised when researchers find it in our tissue. It shows that our body absorbs aluminium.

Aluminium is a neurotoxin and it has links to increasing the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. It has also been found to disrupt your endocrine system by mimicking the hormone estrogen. Anything that can do this is a massive red flag in the breast cancer world.
It’s also the culprit for staining your clothes yellow!

So as you can see, it’s important to embrace the sweat and ditch antiperspirants.

But Happy Organic skincare understand that no one wants to go around smelling like you have been camping for a week without showers. That is why they have been working on a 100% natural deodorant that’s aluminium free....and I think it is fabulous!

Directions
With clean, dry hands use the tip of your index finger collect to a pea sized amount of deodorant and warm it in your fingertips. Rub it under your arm until it disappears (just like you would a moisturiser).

P.S. If you’re used to using an antiperspirant, please remember that this isn’t one! This deodorant works by neutralising odour and keeps you dryer by absorbing moisture, but it DOESN’T block your pores with aluminium to stop you from sweating. It can take a couple of weeks for your body to adjust to this type of deodorant but it’s worth the wait!
